Christophe Moins joined the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in 2006 as a back-end engineer for the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) and the Very Large Telescope (VLT). In 2017, he moved to the Control and Instrumentation Group, where he took responsibility for developing instrumentation software and camera acquisition programs for the VLT and the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT).

From 2003 to 2006, he served as a software control engineer at the European Gravitational Observatory in Cascina, Italy, contributing to the Virgo gravitational wave detection project.

Between 1998 and 2003, Christophe worked in the space and aircraft industry in Toulouse, where he contributed to the development of embedded software for satellites and in-flight test software.

He graduated from INSA Toulouse in 1997 with a degree in software engineering. He completed an MBA at FOM Munich in 2012, focusing on management and finance. In 2015, he earned a university degree in Astronomy and Astronomical Instrumentation from the Observatoire de Paris. Most recently, he obtained a certification in Probability and Machine Learning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2022.
